Why a cruise?

For sure you have considered the possibility of spending your vacation on a cruise ship among other possible destinations.
The cruise market is growing exponentialy and prices are becoming more and more competitive due to the entry into the market of large post-panamax vessels (called so due to its size, because they can not transit the Panama Channel). These super cruise ships have capacities between 2,000 - 4,000 passengers and  today is not easy to find someone in our environment that has not spent his vacation on a cruise ship.

CELEBRITY SOLSTICE

If you have rejected this option because a possible dizziness, because the idea of being "locked" in a boat all day does not make you happy, because you don't know whether you'll like it or not or simply because you don't know what you'll find once you are on board... I hope we can help you to make a decision and clear all these doubts in order that you may experience, what is in my point of view, the prototype of a complete vacation.

I ALWAYS FEEL SICK: With all due respect to the Acciona, Balearia, Fred Olsen, Naviera Armas etc ... Cruise ships can't be compared to ferrys. Today's cruise ships are prepared and equipped with large stabilizers. You will not notice in any case you're on a ship.
However, if you are very sensitive to motion sickness I recommend the following:
1. For your first cruise experience take a short itinerary between 5 and 7 days
2. Do it in the summer season with good weather and choose the Mediterranean.

3. Choose a large vessel, over 90,000 gross tons
4. Take the precaution to wear patches for motion sickness.

Being stuck ALL DAY ON A BOAT: As Homer Simpson would say, I'm booooored! OF COURSE NOT! Keep in mind that a cruise of 7 nights, it's normal that you spend the mornings in a port of call. At the evening the ship departs to the next, with the exception of one day "At sea", when you don't stop at any port.

Every night when you get to your cabin, you will find the agenda for the next day. In this booklet you will find all activities on board for that day. If you arrive at a port of call, you'll find in the booklet some information about the destination, departure of the official excursions and the deadline to be on board. At the evening there are musical shows. If you don't want to go out of the ship, you´ll find activities such as aerobics, dance classes, competitions, conferences, wine tastings, snacks .. . You can also have a nice time at the swimming pool, the gym, enjoy the Spa...

A cruise ship allows you to visit several countries in one week without the hassle of doing and undoing suitcases, with a high quality service, all meals included, facilities for practising any sport or hobby... If you choose a cruise you will not be bored, you'll have problems to decide what to do during the day because of the extensive offer.
